APPRENTICESHIPS
Step 1: Check your eligibility
To be eligible to train as an apprentice, you must:

Be aged 16 or over, there is no upper age limit

Be a British citizen or resident in the UK for at least 3yrs with the right to work
Other criteria:
- It is expected you will have achieved relevant level 2 qualifications

It is preferable that you have already achieved GCSE grade 4 / 5 in both English and Maths, if not, then to start the course you must achieve an initial assessment of at least Entry Level 3 in both English and Maths.

You will need to hold a satisfactory enhanced DBS.
Step 2: Seek support from your school or setting.
If you're already working in a school or setting, then ask them to support you application.
If you are not working in a school or setting, then you can still apply for one of our training courses.
Step 3: Apply for a course
Below, you can select and apply for one of our apprenticeship course subjects.
You must apply for our courses directly through our SCITT website.
Starting September 2024, our apprenticeship offers consist of Level 2 – Early Years Practitioner (Intermediate Apprenticeship) and Level 3 – Early Years Educator (Advance Apprenticeship).
